About Hattersley

Hattersley in 1897 when 20-year-old Richard Hattersley started a tool-making business in Halifax. He moved Ormskirk in the early 1900s and partnered with three engineering firms in 1910 to form United Brass Founders & Engineers. By 1937, Hattersley & Newman Hender had global sales, exporting to 73 countries. During World War II, they produced military equipment, and in 2004, Crane Limited acquired the Hattersley valve brand from Hattersley Newman Hender Limited.
