Densyl Mastic
A cold applied, self-supporting mastic.
Composition
Densyl Mastic is a petrolatum compound containing inert siliceous fillers and vegetable fibres. It contains no VOC.
Characteristics
• VOC free,
• suitable for service up to +90°C,
• easy to apply, and
• suitable for use in a wide range of climates.
Uses
Densyl Mastic is specially recommended for duct sealing and around pipes and cables where they enter buildings to prevent the passage of water or gas. It is used for moulding around irregular profiles such as flanges, mechanical joints and valves to provide a contour suitable for wrapping with anticorrosion tapes, eg. Denso Tape, Densopol and Densoclad.
Surface Preparation
See Instructions for Use for additional detail. Surfaces must be clean and dry. Remove all loose, rust, scale and flaking coatings by scraping, wire brushing or blast cleaning.
Apply Denso Paste or Denso Priming Solution.
